SPI v4.0: A convening of experts in Paris

Next week, Truelift Executive Director, JD Bergeron, will be among a team of experts tasked with ongoing development of version 4.0 of the CERISE social audit tool – the SPI or Social Performance Indicators tool.

For those of you already familiar with the SPI this new version 4.0, set to launch in early 2014, will look quite a bit different than earlier versions of the tool. Reason being that CERISE will be constructing the SPI v4.0 to be fully compliant with all industry initiatives on social performance, including Truelift Assessment, Smart Certification and the like.

The Paris meeting will take place this coming Monday and Tuesday 8-9 October, just before the annual Microcredit Summit, Partnerships Against Poverty, hosted this year in Manila, Philippines. Experts spanning a number of industry leading organizations will be weighing in on the new SPI tool, including Tony Sheldon of Yale School of Management’s Program on Social Enterprise, Truelift, Tameweelcom, Social Performance Task Force, Pakistan Microfinance Network, Red Financiera Rural, Mix Market, Microfinance CEO Working Group, Incofin, Grameen Crédit Agricole, ESAF Microfinance, Entrepreneurs du Monde, CERISE, and others.

Beginning in Q1 of 2014, the new SPI v4.0 will eventually become the self-assessment tool for those wishing to undergo Truelift Assessment. If you would like more information on Truelift Assessment before that time, visit this page.
